Spent many hours on the phone with tech support to no avail...
A little background, Decided to switch to an Android device because there finally is some supporting software for a security camera system ( Geovision) on the platform. Previously used a windows phone and worked great. Stuck with Verizon for at least 11 years because they claim to have the fastest network and for most of the time I've been very happy with the service.
Installed 2 different types of camera viewing software on a friends Droid X and my wife's Droid Global and worked great. Went out and bought a Global myself and installed the software and was just super slow, got a replacement Global and same thing, switched to an X and same problem. After several calls and hours on hold and transfers from tech support, full resets, reinstallations, SWITCHED TO A DIFFERENT PHONE NUMBER and it worked great , switched back to my phone number, same problem. When connected to WIFI the software works great, and the same on others Android devices..It's just MY PHONE NUMBER that this is a problem with. Surfing on the web seems a bit slower that on other people's android devices. Verizon thinks I'm crazy, they try to blame it on the software manufacturer, of course because there could not be anything wrong with their network.
If anyone has an explanation enlighten me please!!!
