5,726 .tmp files how do I stop this?

Why does my SD card have so many .tmp files.   It slows down file browsing and general phone operation.   Do I have something setup wrong?

Download the JunkKiller app and it will clean up those files.  Very handy program.

Temp files are not only used by a browsers, some apps use temp files to be able to update and open files faster...
