Just looking for advice,
I will be on my 6th driod X2 (under warranty) within 6weeks. Model 6th should be here tomorrow. Just about 1 phone every week they are all CPO phones.
These are some of the issues:
1. freezing on app launches (all phones sent)
2. screen twitches/ freezes (all phones sent)
3. music player skips (4th phone)
4. Drops 3G to 1X all day long even outside. (all phones sent)
5. some apps that will launch soon force close. ex: Facebook, Gmail, and the installed ones I can not get rid of. (Bloatware)
6. back of phone gets sooo hot it warpped (1st Phone sent. (seen at 136.4F - took picture of)
7. when saving mms pics or vids to phone or sd card it will not save them right.
8. notifications do not come in right
9. if phone is on while on charger, and you remove after fully charge, black screen, hard resest needed by battery pull
10. random restarts (all phones)
11. not receiving all calls and txt.
12. gallery glitches
13. Phone number #5 several pixels are out upon reception of the phone.
14. Phone freezes up several times a day - Hard battery pull (all phones sent)
15. phone dialer does not work properly (4th model)
16. Several dark thin vertical lines are very noticeable on a white background. (1st and second model sent)
I have two other lines with two different phones on my account and none of these issues exist. What im upset about I can not really use the phone as claimed by Manu/Motorola and Verizon - It just does not work LOL. Its just a paper weight. I would like Verizon to step up and offer a model change not just re-send with another CPO phone with more issues. My contract is up very soon. I'm paying good money for three lines with data plans. This is just unacceptable. Any thoughts.

Stop downloading apps. You do not get 5 (possibly 6) bad phones in a row all with the same issues. It's an app doing it, I'm almost sure of it. OR your SD card. Try leaving that out for a while too - those can ruin phones if they go bad.

Sorry guys, your both wrong no "task killers" or "battery extenders" I have three downloaded apps Facebook, NFL mobile and google maps update. Everything else is preloaded apps from verizon. The X2 was definitely released with an immature software driving it. There is no question about that. I've read many forums about this, and rooted X2s seem to perform much better, which mine is not. I returned my first X2 and had it replaced after it restarted on me every hour. I also noticed lag at various points. My second X2 was fine for days, but then started rebooting like crazy. I've done a factory restart with every phone.
What I've found is that it seems that something is aggregating and clogging in the memory or something. I have manually turned off and turned on my phone after installing each app. Upon doing this, I have not had any lags or restarts (but I have only done this since yesterday morning). Nevertheless, I dont believe software caused several pixels to be out when i got the phone in the mail.

I would buy a lottery ticket if I was you, you seem very lucky that out of thousands of phones yours always seems to have problems
freezing up is an application issue, try not using a gmail or an sd card for a week and see how many times your phone freezes up

You have a better chance of winning the "Megabucks" in Las Vegas than getting 5 phones with the same problems with there being some common denominator like a bad SD Card (my first guess) or an app.
When you get your next phone, leave the SD card out, do not log in to your gmail account and don't use/download any apps. Just try it that way for a couple days and see what happens.
Best of luck!

I was there with the multiple replacement phones after the Froyo update in Dec. As much as you don't want to hear it, there is inevitably going to be a common denominator causing the issues, not the phones themselves.
