Are you using YAHOO ??  The way I did it was go ONLINE to my YAHOO email interface and add Folders there. Then they show up on the phone's email APP.

Thanks BingoRon for your inquiry and thanks everyone for your suggestions. Like Cody said, if you add folders online to your email account, these will be synced to your phone. This goes for Yahoo as well as multiple other email accounts.

Bearone21,

The orignal poster was referring to adding folders to non-Gmail email accounts. That information is correct.

I don't think that's correct.  I have a Yahoo account and I set up additional folders online, but those folders do not show up on my Android.  The email that is delivered to those folders online is simply dumped into my general inbox on the Android.  Very frustrating.

The only folders that will get auto-synced are Inbox, Trash, Sent.  If you have other Folders set up in Yahoo/Google, items don't automatically get sent to them - you have to manually move them. If you have folders set up in Google/YAHOO, you SHOULD be seeing them on the phone when you open FOLDERS in your email app ... do you not see them?
