All texts go thru as picture messages

When I send a group text, even with just words, they receive it as a picture message.  Is there a setting to change this?  I don't think it's a big deal, but some think there should be a pic to open even when there isn't.  I don't have a pic set up in my signature, either.

Try a third party app from the Google Play Store; like Handcent or Go SMS Pro, etc.
