Android 2.2 Error Message

Since Android 2.2 was installed I have been getting the following error message after sending a text message:

"The process com.android.mms has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."

A Force Close radio button appears below the message.

Has anyone else experienced this problem and found a solution?

Regards

Are you using a task killer? Add exclusions to anything running for Android or messaging apps. If that sounds confusing then just uninstall your task killer. It's not that important to have one for 2.2.

I have provided some information below that may help with the sms error that you are receiving.

1. Place the device into safe mode and try to resend a message (I have provided the article instruction below)

Safe mode

http://search.vzw.com/?do=viewdoc&id=31062

***Safe mode is a method that allows the device to run without non-essential applications. This is beneficial for troubleshooting 3rd party applications.

If the message succeeds in safe mode, it is very likely a 3rd party application that is causing a conflict.

Wow I learned something today. The droid incredible IS a computer. It has a safe mode operating system.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
