I'm sure that it has been asked but is there any news on the release of android 2.2 for the Droid? Rumor Central said july 13 it seems they were wrong. any news would be great!

Ditto that request. And does anyone have any information on whether this will help with the poor call quality? I make my living on the phone and had to move to Skype because no one can hear me on my Droid? I even had a helpful (finally) kid at one of the Verizon shops look up a fix that has never failed (until now). It's worth a try if you have the same problem. It's in their repair database. Don't let Verizon tech support tell you there isn't an issue. It's well documented according to the stores.
Yes, I believe there will be some tweeks for call quality in 2.2
What fix are you refering to that Verizion has?
