RELIABLY? I can hook up to my D-link DI-624 with NO security or just MAC filtering enabled just fine, but from what I have read, MAC filtering and WEP are pretty much useless. I did manage to hook up with WPA /WPA2 once or twice, but when i leave the house for a few hours and come back the phone just sits on "obtaining ip address" and never re-connects.
I know I have 3G, but if I have a choice at home to use wifi or 3G, wifi wins hands down.
I contacted HTC and the CSR said the Incredible is meant for open wifi hot spots, not for secured wifi, and he also said Android has limitations right now and that the Incredible can't handle certificates. He's the one that suggested MAC filtering. No way am I leaving my wifi pretty much open. I have tried battery-pulls, router resets, market apps and so on. I love this phone, but this is pretty silly considering my old PSP could handle secure wifi.
My wife has a MOTO Droid that works fine and we have two ipod touches that connect fine also.
So if anyone has secure (WAP or better) wifi working properly with their Incredible please let us know what router you have and possibly any settings that may help. Any other suggestions would be great too. Thanks in advance.

It looks like I solved this myself I assumed "Static IP" and "DHCP Server" were an "either/ or" situation. When in fact you can keep the DHCP server active say for your wired pc's, and you can still assign Static IP's to your wireless devices if necessary. Once I set up my incredible and router with a Static IP it has worked flawlessly AND with WPA2 security enabled. Now Youtube videos actually default to hi quality and are silky smooth when played and internet and Market browsing is SO much faster. This phone kicks butt!

Depending on your router, Droid may need you to have set a "guest password(psk)" in your wireless router config. So in addition to your key to access the network which you normally use, you need to set a guest password - check out your router config to see if you have it. I am using Belkin Wireless G, basic system.
