So I have always been really concerned about keeping my phones in good shape. Especially my Droid since it does everything for me. I had yet to find the perfect case for the Motorola Droid though because of the slide out screen. I had gotten one of those hard snap on face and back plates, but if the phone was dropped, they'd just fall off and the phone would hit the ground any way! Even worse, they scratched the phone itself around the edges where they snapped on!
So that came off. Then I got a big leather magnetic case, but it was annoying because you have to completely shove the phone in there and close it for it to be secure--but it kept the outside protected(the screen has a screen protector on it).
I was looking at some cases online and saw these "crystal skin" cases, they are sort of the like the snap on ones, as in there's two pieces, but they fold over the edges a bit for more protection. When you put them on they are sort of like a gel case flexible and soft, but they are firm enough to hold their shape and absorb a fall, while staying on the phone(and not just flying off).
This is the description of the material it's made of from an eBay listing I was looking at: "A "crystal skin" is new type of case that will protect your phone. This TPU material is unique and you will love the feel in your hand. TPU stands for thermoplastic polyurethane. Basically, the material is like a hybrid of plastic AND silicone. This TPU material will give you the solid protection of a hard case and grip of a silicone skin."
Any one tried these? Sounds like it could be just what I'm looking for.
