Ever since I updated to 2.2 my apps are starting up by themselves worse then before. When I turn on phone I have 240 + meg of memory within an hour it drops to about a 100 meg. And continues to drop. The battery doesn't seem to suffer too bad, but how or can I stop apps from auto starting? Or is this something I even need to worry about, should I not use a "Task Killer"? This is the ONLY negitive thing I've notice since the update (and even this isn't that big of a deal)....Love the DX and the update!

I wouldn't worry about available memory if your phone is running fine. I know coming from a PC, you might be bit OCD about managing resources, but 2.2 does a decent job at handling whats running, far better than 2.1 at least.
What I would do it go through what apps I don't use and start uninstalling them. Some apps run in what I like to call in a "warm up" mode in the background so they are ready when you want to use them. This is fine when its a few apps that you know you are going to use. But it with 2 dozen novelty apps, it can bog your system. Example, if you have iTunes on your PC, good chance you will find it in your running processes list even though you don't actually have it open or set it to run at start up.
