Apps won't install?

I have been having issues with certain apps installing onto my phone.  I am not sure if my phone isn't compatible or what.  Angry birds for example, it will download and then when it comes to acutally installing it says that there was some sort of error.  I have tried WIFI and 3G, it makes no difference.  It's not only Angry Birds, other apps that I already have installed won't upgrade for some reason so I constantly have the little briefcase up in my notification bar.  Is it my phone, or is it just not compatible with certain apps???

You must have a Android phone in order to download apps from the Android Market.    If your are using a RIM device you should continue to download apps from the Blackberry App world or from the VZW Store.
