I am on my second Droid. The first one was damaged due to a fall. In anycase as of today the Droid has the BSOD. As I was heading in to work, the phone was ringing but nothing was showing up on the screen. I pressed the power button and still nothing. I tried to do some trouble shooting such as removing the battery for more than ten minutes and still got the BSOD. Then tried a hard rest and still nothing showed up on the screen.
After work I'll be bring it to a local Verizon store but in all honesty, I do not want to replace it with another one from the insurance company because there is a very good chance that I will have a similar or different problem. It seems that this is a common problem from some of the other Droid forums I have read.
What would cause the BSOD? I did NOT root the phone nor do I download apps outside the marketplace, nor have I downloaded any app similar to ATK.
I'm thinking about giving up on any kind of Smartphones and just stick to the old flip phone. The one I had took a beating and never had a single problem with it of any kind.
