Backup Assistant (BA) - Communicating with server. Please wait

Hello,

The backup assistant just hangs. I get the spinning blue wheel indefinitely. I would be fine with turning BA off but every time I go to BA it just tries to connect to the server.

Does anyone know how to connect or disable?
