Battery Problems

Hey all! I have a droid x and the battery only charges to 60% even after being plugged in all night. I have tried different wall outlets and they all do the same. Any suggestions on what to do?

How long have you had the phone? Is that the original battery? Do you charge it with the phone on or off? It does sound like the battery is going bad, depending on how long you have had it VZ may replace it. If not you may need a new one.

Also, are you using the stock charger  (AC outlet) that came with the phone or some other OEM that you bought? There have been reports from others that using an OEM charging unit will tend to not fully charge these things.

It is the stock charger that came with the phone. It just recently started doing this

Try running it down to 10% and then try to recharge it and see how high it goes...  (Don't let it go lower than 10% though..)  After that, looks like you might need a new battery ...

Or a new charger. I would take the phone and the charger to my local VZW store and have them check the battery and the charger out. Sounds like you are still under warrenty.

I have only had the phone since june. It is the original battery and i charge it both with the phone on and off. It does the same thing
