I have tested my Charge in two ways to see how the battery reacts, the best way to manage your device is it use the default widgets that come with your phone ie power widget and task manger my battery is lasting longer now since removing widgets that use a butt load of resources like battery widget and signal widget. I hope this helps. I removed 2 widgets from 3rd party apps my phone does not drain as fast.
