Battery life after update

Has anyone noticed longer battery life after the update?  Usually my battery is at 20% by late afternoon and I always have to put it on the charger to get through the day.  It's 9 PM now and my battery stands at 40% and hasn't needed charging at all.  This is the regular battery, by the way.  Could it be??

I will have to pay closer attention tomorrow.

I did the update this morning and when I got to work.  After it was done, I popped the phone on the charge because the update knocked me from a full charge down to 60%.

I attribute the power drain to I work in a Steel Mill and I am surrounded by metal and concrete.  Its hard for the cell radio signal to get through to the outside.

Tomorrow I will resist charging to the phone and see how the phone does on a 10 hour work day.

It's hard to say here, I've spent a lot more time than usual playing with the phone and various features. Maybe I can leave it alone tomorrow and get a better idea of the battery life after 2.2...or whatever we are calling it now...:smileyhappy:

Yepers! My battery life seems longer also.  Like you said, about 20%.

My phone has been unplugged since 5 AM. I have sent 30 text messages, sent an received email, and browsed the internet off and on. Battery life sits at 70% as of 10 AM. Will continue watch until end of work today, but FroYo looks promising for better battery life.

Yep .. me too ....  Also, it seems less hot to the touch ... unless I am playing a lot of Video; which it heats up pretty fast.  But unless I am playing a lot of Video, the battery life seems longer.

My battery life has not changed that much, but I changed the batter manager settings for performance.

I also listen to internet radio all day long (well most of the day)... so I have it on the charger sometime before noon, for most of the afternoon. If I have a meeting late morning, I have it on the charger before mid morning so I can make sure that I have no problems with battery power during the meeting.

I also have been hlooking at the display more than usual during the past 2 days to check out my apps that I have on it to make sure that when I want to use the apps, they actually work. with Froyo.

Mine seems a little better but should have a more solid idea in the couple of days.
