Bionic Jelly Bean updates breaks phone

I updated my phone to the latest version given out which is Jelly Bean.  Ever since, i am no longer able to get Verizon service signal (which means no phone calls, texts, or mobile internet) with the com.android.phone app constantly stopping.  Any fixes for this?

Ive found this https://community.verizonwireless.com/thread/797330 that  seems to point to a factory reset for a fix.

I also got the update pushed on 4/20/13 and now the phone drains the battery in a couple of hours--on standby! I thought it might be the battery so I switched to another and its doing the same thing. Smiley Sad

That could be the updated OS optimizing the phone.  Give it another few days and if it's still an issue, try a system cache clear (instructions are in the link in the post above yours) and see if that helps.
