Ok... I've had the Bionic since last November... I was holding out on a return date for the Galaxy Nexus so I could return my Bionic and get this but since the Nexus was delayed like 2 or 3 times, the date passed last year and I was stuck with this what has turned into a piece of crap. Today, I just picked up my 3rd (THIRD) Bionic since Nov because of the ongoing issues, dropping data which is just normal for this phone at this point.... anyway, I've had the new one for almost 5 hours now and it is worse than the last 2.... It basically won't hold a data signal at all.
ALL I WANT IS OUT OF THIS CRAP.... I pay my bill every month, and I expect to have some sort of useable device, now I understand they all have little issues, but this phone is totally a pain in the rear. We still don't have ICS, no updates have fixed the data dropping, nor the terminal wifi issues... Can someone from Verizon CS please give me the chance to upgrade early, swap to a different phone etc???..... Its ridiculous.
This is a peer to peer forum, with only a handful of Verizon employees, mostly to do moderation. The only way to get what you are asking for is to keep calling tech support. Sometimes they will replace a defective device with a different one, but it takes a lot of bugging them. Next time you call, ask to be elevated to tier 2 tech support, You may be a little more likely to get the results you want.
I have... I'm not really searching for a rep on here.. i'm just looking to see if anyone else has had any good luck with a positive outcome or a process to have this resolved. Its just annoying how Verizon promoted this phone to death and now you can't get any help for the well documented issues on top of the fact that it's not even shown in the Android forums anymore. I'm honestly waiting on my 100.00 credit from Motorola being we're only 11 days away from the end of the 3rd qtr and we still haven't seen ICS, which we were supposed to get at the start of the 3rd qtr, and then changed to the 3rd qtr sometime, and now they have 10 days to do soak testing and get it out???... not happening.
I have not had any issues with my Bionic until the last 3 months. My area just got 4g LTE (total crap) and all of a sudden I am dropping calls error messages (network error) It has been a total nightmare! I have had a call into Verizon for the past month (2nd tier) and they still have yet to call me back. I called to inquire about it last week and they told me that a supervisor would call me back after 3:30...never happened. Where I live the 3G was great no problems now with this 4g it stinks. Phone is supposed to choose the strongest signal but it won't go to 3G I have to manually change it to 3G and then that only works sometimes! UNBELIVEABLE!! I'm so fed up with Verizon and the Bionic...UGH!
I went to the store Friday because I NEVER have network service. My phone is basically useless unless I'm at home on my Wifi. They told me there was a software issue and would "probably" be fixed in December....of course there was no credit offered to me for the lack of network.
Hopefully yours doesn't do what mine just did after going to ICS. I no longer can send/recieve texts/pictures/videos. Everything else is geat with it though. However I text a lot.
