Bionic Reboots?

Has anyone over the last few days gotten spontaneous reboots on their Bionic? This has never happened to me until about a week ago and now it seems to happen once per day.

Typical Motorola it's Occured on my X in the past i call em brain farts you might have bad app Vid check it out if your not using System pannel i would get it.  The paid Version is the Best an it'll let you know if any app is going Bonkers an wildman recomemded it in the past. As i said there's a way to go in an see what apps are acting up if any but since you've go the Bionic i don't know if the procedure to get too the area is the same as on the X i don't wan't to tell you it is an its different it should be the same because its a moto product but you know how sometimes things get Changed.

Update: Make sure to Check the Sim An if it should need to be replaced Do not Touch the Gold Area of it as it is a Very sensitive Area.

Reboots can be tricky, . Shortly after you started to notice the reboots, had you installed any new applications?

Do you happen to notice when it shuts down if you are in any particular app or function?

You can put the Bionic in safe mode

Safe Mode is a method that allows the device to run without non-essential applications. This is beneficial for troubleshooting 3rd party applications. We want to determine if a faulty application on the phone is making it reboot.

Once in safe mode,  you will not have access to the 3rd party apps that are installed on the Bionic.

If the phone doesn't reboot while in safe mode, then we know that you will need to uninstall apps (preferably the most recent one that was installed)

I'm having all sorts of problems with my 4G verizon phone(s) including Random Reboot.  My Droid Bionic will reboot randomly several times a day.  Somtimes it's after checking a text, sometimes just sitting in my pocket; sometimes just sitting on my desk.  It looks like there are a lot of complaints on this.  Also, I've been dealing with an issue ... now on my THIRD Phone this year (2 - HTC Thunderbolts and the current Bionic) where sometimes someone calls me and the phone does not ring.  Not isolated to any one area; not isolated to any one person calling me.  I'm on my third phone and 2nd SIM card. The new SIM Card I installed yesterday and already have a phone call from my wife where the phone does not ring... not missed call ... no log of the call.  She leaves a voicemail and then I know there was a call.  Verizon can't seem to sort this out... getting very frustrating.

Have Verizon ship you a New Sim Card an or Go to the Store an have them replace it an When they Do it Make sure they Do not Touch the Gold area of the Card if that doesn't fix the issue i would recommend a replacement Phone. But make sure to check that card First!! B33

Just put in a brand new SIM Card last night.  I'm getting frustrated over all the issues I'm having Verizon can't resolve.  The last phone I sent back I'm now notified that I'm being charged $500 because they didn't receive the phone and my THREE phone calls to "customer service" all can see the phone was returned, and now TWO reports have been generated telling the warehouse that it's been returned and to credit my account hasn't worked.  One "Customer Service" rep said he would call me back at 1PM today 3/6/2012 and of course that never happened.  I had to call again and ask them to have him call me as he promised.  that was 2 1/2 hours ago... I don't expect I'll hear from him. DO NOT PROMISE something and then fail to deliver!!!!!!!  So Now I have my THIRD phone that reboots AND sometimes will not ring with incoming calls AND I have a $500 charge on my account for a phone not returned EVEN THOUGH their "Customer Service" has told me THREE times the item WAS RETURNED!!!  I've had Verizon as a carrier for a very long time (10+ years) and I do think they have the best service, but I have to start to rethink what I'm going to do.  I'm 4 months in to trying to fix my initial problem and has results in 2 more problems PLUS the one that never got fixed!!!!

Well thanks B33.  I would be nice if somone at Verizon would take ownership of my problem(s).  I've lost track of the number of phone calls I've made and the number of different people I've talked to.  I will say everyone I've talked to has been nice and I am NOT a screamer.. all I wish is to have my issues fixed once and for all. VERIZON ---> Anyone out there care to take ownership??

Thank you for your willingness to take ownership of this issue.  I was FINALLY, after numerous phone calls, get the $589.99 credit back on my account.  However, there was tax on that $589.99 that was not credited back.  I had to call AGAIN yesterday (3/15/12) and was told that on my NEXT bill I will get that tax credit.  I have been told so many different things by different agents, I don't know what to believe so I'm resigned to having to call again after my next bill to ask for the tax credit because I don't trust this will happen automatically like I was told.  NOW.. here is the rub. This ALL started because my HTC Thunderbolt would sometimes NOT ring when someone called me and I would not have any missed calls.  That phone was replaced by another HTC Thunderbolt with the same issue.  Then Verizon sent me the BIONIC that continued to have this same issue but also would reboot all the time.  We tried a new SIM card and that didn't fix it.  So I was sent an LG phone that I am using now.  When I called yesterday about my credit, a few minutes after I hung up I got a  voicemail notice that was Verizon satisfaction survey... IRONICALLY, this LG phone also did not ring when Verizon called for this survey and I didn't get any missed call.  Therefore my original problem that I started to call about months ago still has never been resolved.  So essentially, I am back to square one yet had to endure all of this other frustrations only to be where I was months ago!  I guess I am resigned to live with this since it appears Verizon can't or is not interested in getting this resolved.
