the cable can be plugged into a usb on my laptop and can charge the battery through the laptop. Any ideas on why the wall charger no longer works?
sounds like the cable is fine, but the adapter to the wall outlet is shot. you can really use any charger that fits. it's not necessarily recommended, but they are universal and i've used a wall charger from an old LG Envy on both, my htc incredible, and my htc thunderbolt. never had problems.
