Bionic and Wi-Fi -- ERROR

Just received the Bionic the other day. Setup was pretty easy - upgrading from Droid.

Having one issue. No luck with connecting to Wi-Fi. Keeps coming back with ERROR. I've read some threads on the web to perform a soft reset, load into safe mode and hard reset. No luck. I've gone to a Starbuck's also with no luck. Have no issues with my Droid as well as my wife's HTC connecting to Wi-Fi. Is this another 'undocumented feature'?

Battery life isn't that great either.

Thanks!

Hello berry1959!

Since you have a Wi-Fi capable device, it is important you're able to connect via Wi-Fi when needed!  I would be happy to assist.

There is an advanced Wi-Fi setting that may be preventing the Wi-Fi network from connecting to your device.  From the home screen, press the "Menu" key and touch "Settings" > touch "Wireless & networks > Wi-Fi settings > press the "Menu" key and touch "Advanced" > Wi-Fi sleep policy (disable).

I trust this will resolve the issue with your device not connecting to available Wi-Fi networks.

Anthony,

Sorry, but I already had that as my setting. This is a big issue! I know I'm not the only customer with this issue based upon all the Android boards I've looked at. I called into Support and they told me to wait for the Motorola Bionic update push. See if that fixes it. Nice. Any update?
