Bluetooth and Ford Sync System

I have had my Android Incredible for almost a year.  I paired it with the sync system in my Ford auto and it worked great for months and months.  Now however, it will connect but will not stay connected to the sync system in the automobile (connectivity last maybe 10 to 15 seconds before it disconnects).  The phone shows that it is paired but not connected.  Verizon has replaced the phone twice but the problem still exist.  The problem is not with the auto as I have connected other wireless phones to it with no problems.  Any ideas how to solve the problem because Verizon doesn't know how?

I understand the frustration of not being able to pair your phone with your car via Bluetooth after being able to do it for several months. Your post does not include your car's model/year and I am unable to verify your phone's Bluetooth compatibility with your car. Please keep in mind that even if the phone has previously paired with your car, we cannot guarantee the connection if the phone is not listed as a compatible device by your car's manufacturer. For your convenience, I have included a link to check Bluetooth compatibility:

Still fighting with trying to get my Droid Incredible HTC to sync with my 2010 Ford Edge.  It will pair but not connect.  At times I am able to connect but will not be able to access my phonebook, and when I try to download my phonebook my phone disconnects.  I even got Verizon to give me a new phone about 6 weeks ago.  Worked great for about a month and now I'm fighting with it again.  The compatibility list that Ford has says my phone should work just fine with all functions.  What is the problem.

thank you

Have either of you tried to pair without the phonebook, ie when it gives you the option to sync your phonebook say "no"?

I ask because there seems to be a bug with Ford Sync when it comes to contacts. Works fine otherwise.

Yruir8, we're sorry that you're having this difficulty with the Bluetooth function of your DROID Incredible. This is actually a phone issue, as the device was not loaded with the full version of Bluetooth that you would normally receive with current software version. There is hope that HTC will correct this in an future update. If you would like to address the issue with the manufacturer, they can be reached at 866/449-8358 or at this link

Thanks,
