Starting on 8/11/11 the Droid X will only allow events entered into the Device Calendar to only be stored on the phone calendar and will no longer sync from the Droid X onto the Google Calendar. But events which are entered into the Google Calendar via computer will sync onto the Droid X. This obviously presents a problem with mobility.
Did you check sync options under My Accounts, click account name and you should see the option settings for what will sync, make sure calendar is checked...
