Calendar Sync oddity

Ok, so this has frustrated the heck out of me enough that I'm finally asking for help.  

Here's the deal:

Sync Gmail Calendar to Motorola Droid

SOME of my calendar items show up

All of the other calendars I monitor show up

Gmail Calendar online is correct

Here's what I've done:

Hard reset the Droid and set up again

Delete all calendar items and start over

Verify Mobile Setup in Gmail Calendar

Check / clean up free space on Droid

This has been going on for months.  Every once in a while, I try to fix it again.  Still not seeing any change.

Ideas?  Help?  PLEASE?

I was ... the article doesn't help much with troubleshooting.  It's why I posted for help.
