Camera and safe mode?
lshingledecker

I've got an incredible 2 where the camera won't work, the screen is just blank when the camera is opened and other applications that use the camera have the same problem.  I've found the suggestion on these forums to try using safe mode, but I can't seem to actually get the phone in to safe mode.  I push down on the volume button when the first "HTC" screen comes up, but the phone definitely isn't in safe mode.  I've read the description of how to do it on this site - anybody want to help me out?

Same issue for me.  I ended up holding down the down volume for about 2 minutes until the normal screen appeared.  Then at the bottom of the screen did it show "safe mode".   Safe mode did not help the black screen for the camera.  I found out yesterday afternoon I have this issue.  I think it is related to the most recent forced system upgrade.  I did not use the camera until yesterday.

I have tried to solve the problem with safe mode with no luck. Then I

tried a hard reset of the phone, also with no change to the non operation

of the camera. Any more ideas on what I can try to fix the problem?

Ishingledecker, I appreciate your efforts. I'm sorry to hear that those steps did not resolve your concerns. The next step would be to replace your phone. If your device is still under the one year warranty, we will provide you with a replacement phone for no cost. Just call 800-922-0204 and speak with customer support. If your warranty has lapsed, you can file an insurance claim. Assuming you have insurance...http://bit.ly/07CrqPK Please let me know if you need additional assitance.
