Camera problems

So I just got the Droid 2 (the R2D2 version) over the weekend and I wanted to take my pictures from my sd card and put them on my phone. Well I cant seem to figure out how to save my pictures from the sd card to the actual phone itself. I am thinking that feature is not on the phone but it doesnt make sense to me. Really my question is simple how can I save pictures from my sd card to my actual phone itself? Or do I have to go to the store have them put all about 700 pictures from my card to put them to my phone? Because I have an 8GB sd card with all of my pictures on it and I want to save them to my phone so then I can put the pictures to my new 16GB SD card. I looked at the menu but it doesnt say anything about how to save pictures to the phone, even as a back up. HELP!!! please!!

Why not save the pics from the 8GB card to your computer, then format the new card in the phone, and put the pics in the proper folder on the newly formatted card?  Does the Droid 2 even have enough internal memory to save all your pics to the phone?  It makes way more sense to me to use the computer to store the pics for transfer, not the phone.

The route SuzyQ has suggested is one I would have proposed as well. It is often easier and quicker to use drag and drop from a computer's file explorer then to work with something on the phone to move files between the internal and external storage of the phone.

According to the specs I find, there is an internal storage space of 8 GB (format may be less).

If you really must move the files around through the phone only, you will likely have to download a file explorer application from the Play Store. Using the file explorer application, you can move the files where you want.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
