Can Outlook calendar sync w/ phone

the verizon store said in can sync--but didn't know how to do it!

Yes, it can.  You go to the HTC website and download HTC Sync to your PC.  They have detailed instructions on how to do it.  I use Outlook 2003 and it sync my contacts and calendar.
