I only had my droid incredible for 6 weeks until it gave an error message and stopped working. Verizon couldn't fix it so of course my new incredible was replaced with a USED/REFURBISHED one. I just recieved the used/new incredible (it comes with out a battery or back!) and the s/n, hex, and other barcodes on the back are barely even legible (leading me to believe this phone has had a lot of usage). Well verizon said thats how the 'new' phones look.
So my question for anyone that just recieved a brand new incredible, can you look at the back of your phone (remove the battery) and tell me if the s/n #s etc look faded? Also, on my original incredible, the words S/N, MEID HEX, MEID DEX, line up with the barcode (directly underneath) but on the used replacement, the S/N, HEX, DEX words are to the left of the barcode.
I greatly appreciate it anyone that is willing to let me know....

it sounds to me like that's just a printing issue. they prolly ran a huge batch of these stickers through a bad machine. i wouldn't worry much about the refurbished device. i actually order their refurds from time to time because they are every bit as good as a new device. in fact, sometimes better. they sample test new devices so not every new phone gets tested. the refurbs are all tested. now there coulb issues they don't catch in the testing, but i believe you actually have a better chance of getting a bad device when it's a brand new one, then when it's a refurb. i actually just bought my wife an allias II refurb 2 months ago. they are usully less then half of the retail price and they are as good as new.

I appreciate your response. I guess I can just hope for the best. Lets just say that the customer service I have recieved from verizon throughout this process has been less than stellar even though I am a "VIP" customer...what a joke.!.
It is extremely frustrating when you spend a lot of money on a brand new phone that becomes defective within only 6 weeks and for it to be replaced with a used phone that I am sure has been used much more.

yeah....if it would've broke 2 weeks earlier then you get a new one, but after 30 days, it's a refurb. but like i said, i'd be willing to bet that the refurb you got will last longer than the new one you had.

Verizon would not take it back if any physical or liquid damage was done to the phone unless you have insurance added within 30 days.

he had a faulty device. they will take back faulty devices any time. i was just pointing out that if it's within the first 30 days they replace it with a new device, not a refurbished one.
