What weather apps are you using? I have a couple of them, accuweather on one page and weatherbug on another (and yes, they don't say the same thing...close...but not the same). When it asks me for my location, I just type in the ZIP code and it finds my area.

If you are speaking of the home page weather/time, it is based on the tower you are hitting at that time. Also the location name given to that tower. So you may very well be hitting a tower in Gulf Shores, but the tower may have a different location name.
Here in MI, the naming of the location of towers is pretty good. Where I live I hit one of five towers, Two are named for the township they are located in, not the nearby city.

It should be remembered that because you see a tower doesn't necessarily make it a Cell Tower nor one that Verizon controls. Unless you get a map pinpointing where each Verizon tower is in the area, you don't know what it is or who it belongs to. Gads! It may even belong to that telephone company with an & in its name.

There is an app appropriately named, "Antennas" that will show the towers around you that you can hit.And that company with the &, when was the last time they used or had a Telegraph??

When was the last time they had good customer service, or good service, period.
