Can't establish a reliable data connection to the server

Hi,

  Got my droid X over the weekend.  I am still unable to "Setting up my DROIDX" by signing in my google account.  It can not communicate with google servers.  "Can't establish a reliable data connection to the server".  My google account seems to be fine.  I can read my gmail from my DROIDX.  I saw couple people here have similar issues. I also see suggestion of "Factory Default" the phone.  I don't think Factory Default is a good suggestion unless there is no other workaround.  I don't want to create all the links/favorite manually again.....

Problem "Resolved"...Factory Default the phone.
