I understand the inconvenience of being alerted of every email you receive. Unfortunately it is not possible to not be alerted when you receive an email. You will either be notified via a ringtone of your choice or you can set it to where it vibrates.  This link will show you how to set your notification to your liking.  http://tinyurl.com/27ebvva Hope this helps!

Please can you consider changing font color because it is hard to see the color on a white background, I am blind in one eye and not able to see your reply do to the colors.

I put my email setting to "Silent" and I do not hear anything with email arrivals.  Nothing...it is silent.

Wonder why mine reacts that way and yours does not.

I left my check mark for Notification Bar so the icon appears there with email arrival but no sound.

The upcoming Froyo update should give you the option of notification just once, that is just notify you on the first email.

I assume you're not using a gmail account sadly. No issues on that front 😃

You could just get another email application from the market.

Mine did the same thing, I ended up deleting the application. The app needs refinement, thanks for the effort though.
