No matter what I try when I try to buy an app it tells me I need to connect my Google account. That's fine so I fill in my name / password and it says it needs to connect to the servers and may take up to 5 minutes. Well every time it tries for about a minute, then comes back and says I have a bad connection or I have no connect6ion. This is clearly not true since I have full bars of both WIFI and 3G and everything else net related on the phone works just fine. I know it's not my home router because I've tried it with WIFI off and also on the local Starbucks WIFI with the same results. I've also tried different google account info, but I don't think that would matter since it's apparently not getting far enough to check that. I also have tried closing all other apps that are running with Advanced task Killer so it's no other app causing a problem.
Anyone else seeing this?

Here's a screenshot, well, I can't take a screenshot, but here's a blurry iPhone photo. you can still read it mostly and see the bars are all there. Actually I think 3G had 3 of 4 bars at the time of the photo.

Try double checking you wifi connection under the Settings/Wireless and Networks/Wi-Fi Settings, make sure the connection says connected because usually when the wifi makes connection it disables your 3G data network to avoid conflict... I experianced this before and when I checked my wifi hadnt establised a IP Address untill I entered the settings page. And if still having issue, leave wi-fi on and restart device, this also usually fixed my issue like this.
