Gmail works fine. Cox mail receives mail but will not send. Went to account settings. Pop server info is correct. On outgoing setting I try to uncheck "Login required" , however then it says "verifying account information" and then says "cannot connect to the mail server ....". Help!
Please help! Anybody. I am desperate.

Have you ever been able to send an email from your phone to someone else via Cox? Can you do this hooked to wi-fi in your home? You should be able to. If you shut off wi-fi on your phone in your home does it still work? I bet it doesn't.
Most ISPs will not allow you to use their infrastructure to send emails from outside their network. They do this to prevent spammers. This is the reason ISPs give you web access to email.
