I have the Droid Charge, with the latest update (EE4). I've done a factory reset, hard reset/battery pull and just about everything else to solve this issue.
Messages being sent via the messaging client (text) with photos get hung up and I get an error message that the message failed to send. On occasion, the recipient says that the photo gets through; largely though, it doesn't get sent.
Anything else I can try? I have tried third party (handcent) messaging apps but have the same error.

I took it into a store, and the tech was unable to resolve the problem. He tried to send a bunch of photos and since then the phone wouldn't even try to send messages saying there were too many unsent multimedia messages. He ordered a replacement, which arrived today.
The first picture message went through fine. The second is hung up on "Sending," despite restarting the phone and clearning the message cache and forcing the program to stop and restart. The recipient has received that second message twice. I just gotan error message/notification saying "Message not sent"- when I go into the message thread, it says "Failed."
My husband has a HTC Thunderbolt on Verizon and does not have the same issue.

Spoke to someone in the network engineering department who thought the issue was with the phone. Just got the new phone, set it up, and still have the same issues.
To recap. Photo (MMS) messaging works 90% of the time in 4G. In 3G or less, the phone hangs on "Sending," I get a general failure to send message and then the phone never closes the connection and continues to attempt to send the photo, draining the battery. Maybe 20% of the time, I get a general failure message and it goes through anyhow. If I attempt to send another MMS, I get "too many unsent multimedia messages" failure error.
Battery pulls have no effect on the phone's attempt to send the photo message, even hours later. This is a new phone, stock everything - I haven't even added my personal apps yet to see if it would work.
This occurs when the recipient is Verizon (tried on two Blackberrys, on Fascinte and one HTC Thunderbolt), Sprint (tried on Blackberry), AT&T (iPhone, Samsung Captivate).
Someone please help.

I have a new Razr HD and I am having trouble sending photos via text msg MMS. In all cases, it indicates it will reduce the photo size. I do the send and after 20 seconds, I get Message Send Failure. Any newer solutions ???

This thread is over a year old; it would be better to search for a more recent thread or start a new one.
With that being said, are you trying to send your photo texts via wi-fi? They will only send/receive over Verizon's cellular network.

I started a new thread and included there "turned off Wifi and still got the error".
