Car Dock for Samsung Droid?

I am considering upgrading from my OG Droid1 to a new phone and the Charge has my interest.  I do not, however, see a car dock accesory in the online Verizon store just as I did not see any car docks available for the TB in any of my local Verizon stores.  The turn-by-turn voice navigation through Google is something that I use daily and cannot give up this if there is not a dock available for the car.  I also like that my Droid1 car dock uses a magnet to detect that it is in the dock and automatically puts the phone in car mode.  Does the Charge do this?  Does anyone have experience or an answer to this?

Hi curlysgirly, I am a bit confused as to the accessory you're wanting. In your post, you're stating that you are interested in the new Samsung DROID Charge and looking for a Car Dock for it; however, later in your message, you stated that you are unable to find a Car Dock for the TB (Thunderbolt). I also noticed that your post is in the Samsung Charge forum, so I believe the TB to be a typographical error.

Hi, thanks for your reply.  I referred to the TB in this post (not typographically incorrect) because it was another phone I was interested in upgrading to but cannot find the car mount for that phone in stock in any of our local stores (tried about 4).  I usually do not like aftermarket products and like to stick to one created by the manufacturer.  Since the car mount is something that I use constantly (in my car more than I am home), I would not like being without one.  Also a "car home" screen and the ability to use my phone as a GPS with Google Nav is very important to me.  Just a feature that I am so used to and now couldn't live without

Does the Samsung product have the "magnet" in it to make the phone automatically switch to the "car home" screen or something like it?

If you follow my link you will see that it is made by Samsung. Not sure how much more of a manufacture you can get.

Yes, the Droid Charge has a vehicle dock. You should be able to purchase it from a local Verizon Dealer, I have also seen them on Verizon's Accessory Page for the Charge.

When you place the phone into the Car dock it will automatically switch to the Car Docking mode. You also have the ability to exit out of the Car Docking mode at anytime.

New things don't always have all accessories right away. For example tb doesent have a cover silicone for use with extended batteries.
