Charge issues

So like many folks on this forum, I have had issues with static and frozen calls on my Charge.  I have been sent two replacement phones and still have the same issue.  I was offered a replacement with an Evolution or a Thunderbolt, neither of which have the same specs as the Charge.

I was told by tech support that there should be a software update by the end of Aug. that would fix the issue.  Here we are Sept. 8th still no update.

I call Verizon and speak with a Ken.  Ken tells me that he has the Charge and has no issues with it.  Tells me that we can troubleshoot the same way as we have done at the local Verizon store (they were able to replicate the issue) as well as the the 800 number tech support.

I was astonished by the fact that Ken would even hint that I may be making this up.  I then asked to speak with a supervisor and got a Tonja.  At this point I was furious and no longer want anything to do with Verizon.  Tonja asks what replacement device I would like to which I responded "whatever AT&T offers for a smartphone."  Tonja offered to cancel the service for a fee.

Long story short they are sending me yet another Charge.  This has to be a breach in contract or something.  I explained to them that I have dropped landline service and depend on my cell phone as my only number.  I have two little boys at home so this issue of static and frozen calls is not acceptable to me.

It should also be noted that I had zero problems like this when I had my Droid 2 or any other phones.  It seems really sad that Verizon would rather stick you with a broken device that they know has known issues than keep a customer.

TRY THIS...Before you get your next charge in the mail make sure the battery in the current one is fully charged.  Leave it plugged in overnight.  When the battery is fully charged there will be a blue battery symbol at the LEFT top of your screen and it will say 100 in it.

When your new phone arrives put that fully charged batty in it and also plug your charger into the newly received phone.  Use the 110 volt 1 amp charger that came with the Charge phone.

Keep it plugged into the charger and then turn it on and activate it.  Next start using it to see if it is working.  Don't add any APPs until you see that it is working.
