So I've been having a slight issue with my Droid X. This started yesterday. I had it plugged in and it randomly stopped charging then started again. It was quick but I saw it. It happened again today. So I'm wondering if my Droid's charger port is **bleep** up or if the tip of the charger cable is messed up. I'm assuming it's a phone issue though. Now this is my baby (second to my ASUS laptop) but i treat it with plenty of care, and I am gentle with it.

Several questions before anyone can help you. First, are you using the charger that came with the DX or a third party charger? Second, are you using a wall plug to charge your DX or your computer? Finally, do you have any battery saving apps? Once we know whats what, we can assist you.

I believed that cable can be bought as data cable at Verizon. And it can't be just any USB-to-micro-USB cable. I've tried that already...)

You might try replacing the cable and can buy them at Verizon. As for the Battery saver, sometimes they cause funny things to happen. Try uninstalling it and see what happens. You can always re-install it if that is not the cause of your problem.

I had an issue with a wire breaking in my motorola cable so I bought a 10ft Micro Usb cable and it works fine when used with the Motorola wall charger.

I've tried several micro cables, some worked, some didn't. The longest one I've been able to find that works had been 4ft, which is an improvement.

Here's the cable I purchased and it works great.http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002I8MUJG I was so happy with it that I purchased 3 more for around the house.
I also picked up a DIRT cheap HDMI cable here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003XNANU8 It works wonderfully as well! I was a bit skeptical when I bought it and figured I'd just be out $5 worst case. I was happily surprised when it worked flawlessly.
I've had both products about 2 months now and they are holding up very well.

I have a droid Incredible. It is almost 2 years old. Car charger doesn't provide juice to phone. I went to Radio Shack today and bought a new car charger. Still...didn't work. Now my wall charger is not providing battery juice. Charger looks like it is working but the minute I unplug, the batter symbol turns red and my screen gives me a "charge battery now" message. It has always worked until I tried the new car one today, which I returned. What do I do?
