I just recently bought a Droid 2 Global for my wife, I have a D1 and love so she wanted to upgrade. When she charges it over night the moment you unplug it in the morning it immediately drops from to 20% of a charge and tells you to plug back in. She plugs it back in and lets it charge for about 30 minutes and then it will hold that charge through the day. We have swapped batteries from my D1 to her D2 tried 2 different chargers and the same results.
So I was just wondering if anyone else had heard of a problem like this.
Thanks

I have the same problem with Droid 2 Global. Not a battery issue. I also tried my Droid 1 battery with the same result. If it has a 60% charge when I plug it in, I wake up it is 50%. 90% at night, 80% in morning... etc. I am still within 30 days of purchase. Verizon is sending me a new phone.

Since you've eliminated the battery as a culprit, my next step would be to try a restore factory defaults. I don't think that will fix the problem, but when they check, it will already be done. Assuming that doesn't work I think a visit to your local corporate store is in order.

Just following up... I received my replacement (new) Droid 2 Global. It holds a 100% charge while docked overnight.

Did you get a "NEW" droid cuz i was told you get a refurbished! mine is only 4 mos old and i've received a new battery and it still won't hold a charge. i'm heading to the store AGAIN! hope this isn't an indication the phone is a {word filter avoidance} i love it too but i am not happy i have issues after 4 mos. these phones are not cheap and it's beyond frustrating dealing with issues.

Hi scsaltlife,
I know how inconvenient a phone not holding a charge can be. The manufacturer's warranty provides a Certified Like New Replacement (CLNR) when a device is replaced due to a manufactures defect. Certified Like-New Replacement devices have been thoroughly inspected and reconditioned to like-new condition. Here is some detailed information about our CLNR Program .
I am hopeful your issues was addressed and resolved during your visit to the store. If you require additional assistance please don't hesitate to reach out to me via the community forums or with a PM.
