I purchased a car charger with a USB socket in hopes of charging my droid via USB in the car using the USB cable supplied with the wall charger. I did this as it was cheaper than purchasing the normal car charger. Unfortunately it does not appear to work. The first time I plugged the phone it to this set-up it appeared to work but then I noticed it was not charging. When I plug the items in the phone turns the screen on but does not show that it is charging. Is / has anyone else had this issue? Is there a fix? Is this method not feasible? Thanks in advance for any assistance.
Which car charger do you have? I have the Kensington Mini Car Charger for Mobile Devices with USB Port (from Amazon) coming in a few days and will try it. It got good reviews.
