My wife got the ICS update this morning.  I have the error "Check for update is not available at this time.".  I have had this for some time now.  How do I get around it so it does check for updates?

The updates are released in waves ... some say by location, some by ESN, some by whatever you're wearing that day (not really on that last one, ha!).  It is rolling out, you will get it.  Patience, my friend!

In fact, it's probably to your favor that you haven't received it yet ... gives you time to do some prep work.     Did your wife have any issues when installing the update?  Several are reporting various issues.  If you haven't already, I'd recommend that you search this forum for threads about the update; there are several giving advice of things to do before hand, as well as after.  One that comes to mind is:
