Hey Verizon (assuming Verizon has someone watching these posts),
I hope you fix this in the next release but...
Same old problem with City ID, if you google "City ID uninstall" you'll see i'm not alone (not to mention the bad press your getting), I am well past my trial period and the app still runs; i've answered 'no' to the invitation to continue the service, the service shows 'expired'. It still saves data to my SD card, the service continues to run.
And before you say, kill the service, yes, you can indeed kill the service but it starts right back up on the next call. Adding to the apps data to my SD card in the process.
My preference is to uninstall the app; I could live with it if it would stop running as well as not waste space on my SD card.
My hope is that this is fixed in the upcoming upgrade (2.2). If not, please tell me how to deactivate this software so I'm not wasting battery life on this app and its not wasting space on my SD card. I'd prefer not to root my phone but that's the next step if I don't hear from you soon.
I find it amazing that you foist this garbage on your customers.
Pleae tell me how to remove this!!!

After the trial expires the app runs but uses next to no memory compared to most other apps. It sucks I agree that it can't be uninstall but that's how it goes with vzw.
I believe that is how it goes with every android phone of how you can't uninstall the preloaded apps. I can't uninstall preloaded apps on my G1 from T-mobile

since the incredible has been rooted... you can root it and remove the apps.. however i suggest til after Froyo is released since until bootloader is rooted and flashable u wont be able to put froyo on if u root before froyo is OTA updated
