Contacts listing

Can anyone tell me how to get my contacts to list alphabetically by the last name instead of first name.

Open CONTACTS / Menu / DISPLAY Options / Sort List by Last Name

I am the Director of a large group of members of a Neighborhood Watch Group.  On my PC, I have each "Block" group (18 Blocks in all) listings in one group (DG #1, DG #2, etc.), and then after all of the group listing have been assembled, I then highlight

each group designationi collectively and create a file "DG Group".  In that way, I can send every registrant a "warning" message at the same time ("I just saw a man running away from a house on .... Drive with a lawn mower."

I have tried to transfer my entire address file including the DG #1, DG #2, files pluse the combined group file without success.  My new Droid 3 will record all of the individual names by none of the group desinations.    I ofter get notices when I am not in front of my PC and feel that I need to send our warnings before I get back home.

Any help on hangling group listings transfers will be greatly appreciated.  At this point, "Google" has not offered any advice.
