Hi, I did an update to Android Version 2.3.3 (it's the most current available on my phone) and after I did the update I wasn't able to get my outlook calendar. When I go into my calendar and select the drop down I get the option to see my Phone Calendar, US Holidays, and my gmail; I do not get the option to select my deltami.gov account. I thought I'd remove the account and set it back up again but when I go into 'my accounts' it is not there. So then I select to add an account and I put all the info in and it says it already exists! Fyi - I took out the battery and put it back in and it still doesn't show up in my list of calendars or under my accounts...and like I said, I have the email icon and can access my emails.
Furthermore, since I've done the update my battery life is terrible. It reads that the battery usage is mostly display and voice calls. I turned the display light waaaay down and have it turn off after 15 seconds. Plus, I only talked on the phone 7 min and 38 seconds yesterday and had 2 missed calls that went to voicemail. Additionally, I've deleted apps, stopped running ones, used advanced task killer, took phone off the 'vibrate always', turned GPS & blue tooth off, have it on nighttime saver... I'm hardly getting on the internet much and it's still dying within 4 hours (it used to last from about 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.).
Both of these complications are very frustrating. In fact, the last time I did an update I was locked out of my phone (it wanted a password/code even though I never set one up) and I had to call Verizon and they ended up having me do a factory reset. So I was very hesitant to do an update this time due to that fact and now I wish I hadn't. Please help!
Thanks for listening and for your time.

i pulled the batt and the acc't still doesn't show up.
my batt life got better with gb & i don't use a task killer.
it sounds like you've got a lot of apps that keep updating/fetching email or trying.

I am sure this is the issue and normally clearing the data for accounts storage allows you to update the setting but it appears this isn't a solution with GB..
Hate to say this but the easiest solution I found was a reset and setup accounts again..

One more question I just thought of, you reported wiping device before updating, my question is how did you restore the email accounts? Did you restore from a backup or did you type them in fresh after update was completes?
I am thinking you may have used a backup because this is usually when I have noticed this type of situation...

I see why this issue would be frustrating for you. The community has given some great responses here. Have you tried clearing your email cache? Go to Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>All>Email>Clear data/cache. If it is still not working after this, I would suggest doing a master reset for both issues.
Let us know if you need further assistance.

The email problem is a common problem after the upgrade to gb. The work around is to:
Use your PC to change your email pwd.
Eventually the phone will get an error when it tries to sync.
From the popup, Delete the email account.
Now you can re-create it.
