Vibration box is unchecked; still getting vibrations w/ text messages. Any ideas?
There are a few vibrate options. The touch screen for selecting items and texting have separate selections in the settings menu.
Go to menu > settings > language & keyboard > touch input > text input
Uncheck " Vibrate when typing"
Do you have your notification sound set? Here is how to check the setting.
From the the main screen, tap messages
Display should show "All Messages"
Tap Menu
Tap Settings
Check to make sure your notification sound is not set to vibrate and the vibrate option is unchecked. There is also a option at the bottom that says vibrate when message is received, make sure that is unchecked. HTH!
I'm having the opposite problem.
My settings are set to vibrate with a text message but the phone doesn't vibrate - only sounds. It won't even vibrate for text when the whole phone is set on vibrate.
It is set to vibrate with calls and it does do that.
Any suggestions?
Make sure the vibrate option is on, under your sound and display. The steps are below. HTH!
From the home screen, touch the applications tab (located in the lower-left).
Touch Settings.
Touch Sound & display.
Touch Phone vibrate.
