DInc not getting prompt for update

did they pull the update or something bc i have not been prompted to download any update yet at all and have been doing the force checkin and my phone is not rooted at all but it keeps telling me its up to date and the software version still saying 2.2 dont know what to do at this point.....plus one of my coworkers got the update this so it pushed out in this area....

Just be Patient the update will come to your phone its moving around an it is out. It will take about 30 min to download an while at that time you cannot receive calls or make them an its a good idea to be were you can get a good signal from the Tower. An make sure you have a full battery an once you start the download dont stop it an let it go through all the steps. all of them once done it will be at the home screen you can then shut it down if you want to then see the fast boot up when you turn it on. yeah they don't release it all at once to everyone...its a phased release. Mine only took 10 minutes

animefrk122, have you received the software update yet? The update is being released in batches. Once sent to your device, it will prompt you to update your device. Your device must be fully charged prior to the update.

A lot of us haven't got the update yet.  How big are these "batches?"  When is the update scheduled to be completed?  Surely there must be a timeline that Verizon has.  Please share.

Just got to be patient Jason it will come an i think the selection is done by the serial no.'s on the phone you might give HTC a call an see how they poosh it out. An as i've mentioned in my other post you might have to do Fr if you have issues after you install the update. B33

Yes, Lena, what are these magic batches you speak of? Almost a week and a half and still nothing.

And B33, no, I do not think it goes by serial number.

I would be surprised if they pulled it also due to some of the bugs. I'm sure you would rather have a less buggier version...I really had no real issues except the Sprint in Market and unmount and remount the sms card...I know other people had way worse issues than I did.

I don't think it's by serial number.  If that was the case, I would think I would have it by now.  I was one of the first DINC owners (had it pre-ordered the first night it was available to order, and had it two days before it even went on sale in stores).

Maybe they are doing it by market area, who knows, I just wish they would hurry up and send it to my phone.

I'm still waiting for my update.  My wife with the same phone bought at the same time got 2.3 three weeks ago.  Verizon says that Google pushes out the update.  HTC says that Google creates the update, sends it to HTC for their eval and then it goes to Verizon to push it out.  It's amazing that HTC and Verizon tech support contradict each other.  When 2.2 came out, my wife's DINC and mine got the update within 2 days of each other.

John i heard this as one of the possible ways it was being pushed out then i heard it was it sent out by sections. Well i came to this conclusion none of these are worth there weight in p -- p !     So when it comes it comes. thats all i can tell ya for now.
