Well, seeing as they have a 30 day return policy that is plenty of time to play around with it, much more so than the few minutes you spent at the store.

I don't have to press hard on the keys at all, and it's been very responsive.

I'm going through the new device learning curve, but it's only been a day. It can't do a good deal of the things my Omnia could do out of the box, but since WM is done at least for a while, I needed something else.

You said you've used/tried HTC Incredible and Droid 2.........I was almost ready to go w/ Incred. when I saw Droid 2 and read the specs.  Looks like better ops and longer battery life and I like the physical keyboard as I'm new to smartphones- felt the virtual keyboard had a Super light touch.  I like the look and feel of the Incredible a little better but kinda lean towards getting the "better" phone for the same price.  Could you tell me your opinion on comparing the 2 phones?  THanks

other than the incredibles display being top notch the droid2 and x out do that phone all around the incredibles battery life is just horrible so if its an all touch you want other than the droid2 i would reccomend the x  and if you dont need the keyboard i say get the x if it isnt too big for you but considering the incredible when these two phones are available isnt a good option you get less phone and a battery hog for the same price and the 2 and x. and amazingly enough the incredible is still on the endangered list even after annoucing the change from the amoled display that was said to slow up its production. if you could get a lambo and corvette for the same price in store and same contract wouldnt you get the lambo just because? the x also runs circles around the competition in benchmarks tests that put the graphics and processor through the ring ...why wouldnt you get the x?

I played with a D2 in the store on Saturday, for a few minutes.  Someone was waiting behind me to play with it so I gave it up.  The keyboard was fine, I didn't have to press hard.  The phones on display are played with by all kinds of people and get worn out, keys get sticky, and are generally abused.  I wouldn't expect a demo keyboard to give you the same response as a new phone.

it was a new out of box droid not a demo i snapped a few pics with it and the salesman got a little testly saying now he had to delete them because its against policy to sell a phone with pictures on it ..kinda made me laugh seeing as how it was the inside of the store and through the window i took the pics of.

The Droid 2 has some serious issues that need to be corrected......Find some blogs (google search) Droid 2 screen lock texts or Droid 2 screen lock text messages

The day i purchased my Droid 2 i had over 10 very weird, some threatening, messages w/in a 24-hour period. I brought it back the next day to exchange it for another new one, and no sooner was i out of the store when another weird message appeared on the screen.  I then research if there was a problem with others, and voila ---- according to a tech, it's the worst problem they've seen in over 30 years.  So......if i were you, i would return it ASAP and wait till they get a fix for it.  (One of the blogs said your information gets sent out to others just like others' information gets sent to you and appears on the screen).  Other than that, the phone looks awesome, and i will purchase it once that problem is fixed (if they can figure it out).......Some of the messages i got:  This is my phone.  I dont know how you got it.  I can find out who you are because it has gps. and I have reported you to Verizon".  Another series of messages on the screen was somebody else's name, address, tel #, husband's tel # ---- and they are all legitimate people.  So, if i was getting their information on my phone,,,,,,,who could be getting mine? -- got rid of it as quickly as i could!

The weird messages happened to me, but I figured it out that it was actually my antivirus program. I uninstalled it then re-downloaded and installed a clean copy. I haven't had those phantom messages since. HTH

I have a D2 since launch date, and i have had NO stranges text messages.  I only suspect you have some other type of problem associated with identity theft (not necessarily financially related).
My D2 is fine and i only get messages from my friends...and that is it.

HEY VERIZON

Would love to get the droid2 without the moto blur and all the preinstalled junk on here!  I want Froyo naked not running around with lead weights on his back.
