Gotr my DROID today, wanted the car mount, but the one Verizon is selling does come with the rapid charder. The Moto site says it comes with a rapid charger. Where can I get the one with the rapid charger? Is best buy selling them? Anyone get one with a ripic charger or is the moto site incorrect???

I have the car mount. Bought the car charger (cigarette lighter adapter) separately. I agree that they should be bundled, because using the gps and navigation, the battery on the phone won't support much of a trip.
So far, the car mount, charger, and google navigation sw work great together. The ability to speak "navigate to ..." makes setting up a route a breeze.
On a different note - if you are taking a long trip and go through an area without data coverage, does that mean your navigation stops working since the maps can't be downloaded?
if you purchased your car mount through Motorola, then you have a solid case for false advertisment. however, if you went to the Verizon website, then you got squat. the webpage makes no mention of what they are offereing with the car mount.
if you want a charger, look at rocket fish, best buy has them. cheap. i got one for my EnV3 and realized that it fit the Droid as well. just saved some money there.
I was at Walmart I think it was and saw a two usb charger for about 5 bucks. Amazon.com has 2 usb port chargers so that you can charge 2 Droids in the same port for ranging from a buck to 5 bucks. I was aggrivated by that as well until I started finding the 2 port ones cheap everywhere else. I also found some at Dollar General and the gas station at the end of the road. so yeah pretty much everywhere would have chargers.
I recently used my Droid in conjunction with the car mount, and a seperate Car charger to get me from SW PA to Ft. Drum NY, the GPS work excellant, and the car dock made it very easy to follow the designated route. On the way back we stopped at Niagara falls, and it lost GPS signal for a portion of time, it gestimates your location and continues along the route that Google had already set. When you search for directions it pulls turn by turn directions from Google maps, then it converts the text into work to give you the audio turn by turn. So when you loose the GPS fix it simply continues as if the GPS was not there. Another feature I used on this trip was the Pandora radio application, finding a good FM radio station when taking a long trip is a pain, with Pandora I can make my own radio station, and play it while using the navigation app, and when it is time to make a turn the GPS will interrupt the music to let you know where your next turn is.
