DROID X TWITTER PROBLEMS

This just started a week or two ago. No problems before. My Droid X came with a "Messaging" app and a "Social Networking" App. The messaging app allows me to access my email inboxes from yahoo, etc., as well as my message inboxes for Twitter and Facebook. It also allows me to access my other folders (e.,g., Sent) in thos accounts. The Social Network app allows me to see real time Tweets and FB messages and allows me to post to both accounts. Both of these apps came with the phone.

Problem #1: I am having no problems with the Social Networking app. However, the Messaging app has Twitter problems. Everytime I try to access my Twitter account, I get an error message that says "Twitter Connection Error". However, I am still able to send messages to other accounts. I just cant see any messages sent to me.

Problem #2: This may or may not be related, but, when I use the phone's Browser to access Twitter, I get the login page, but, then, after I enter the login info all I get is a blank white screen with a dark bar across the top of the page.

I've cleared cache, deleted history, deleted my Twitter accounts and re-installed them, verifie on my home PC that the Twitter accounts are woring properly.

I called Verizon tech support and they have no clue. Anyone else here having this problem?

Everything else works fine - no problems accessing any other web sites. Just a Twitter problem.

Two of my email accounts had issues last week. Today I have the same Twitter issue in the Messaging app.  I can access Twitter fine via the Twitter app or the Browser.  I removed the account and added it back.  Still having the same problem.  I have the Droid X.

Just download the Twitter app from the Market. Most of the pre-installed apps (email, social networking, etc) that you add your account to cause problems for some reason.

The apps from the market are free and work better. Simple solution.

Thank you for your inquiry.

When you cleared the cache, did you clear it from just the browser or from the Messaging application? I would recommend clearing it from the messaging application if you haven't. Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>All>Messaging>Clear data/cache. Also after clearing the cache and history, are you still having the issue accessing Twitter from the browser?
