The screen on my DX went black last week. I got the replacement yesterday and I'm sorry to say it is another DX. And while the screen does indeed work, it has all the same GB issues my old phone had.
Not a happy camper!

Say it isn't so, wildman. If you couldn't solve the problems, who can?

It was just one of those things... My device was largely problem free but just within the last week the device started to react a little funny but the device was showing signs of a loose power port and this seem to be the nature of the issues

Yes I got a replacement but the first thing I noticed was that the buttons felt different and after looking at the buttons they are not sticking out as much and has a harder and more firm feeling when pressed.... I usually almost pop camera button off when placing case on phone but the camera, volume and power is so surfaced that when I run figures over them you barely feel that they are there unlike the old unit the buttons are like a bump...

After 3 DX replacements VZW sent me a CPO DX2, seems to work much better. Actually like my DX did before gingerbread. I did notice that the buttons seemed a little more "flush" with the surface even on the DX replacements I got. Had to push the tabs on my otterbox just a little harder to reach them it seemed. Isn't any faster then the DX, actually waking up the phone and selecting apps like the camera there is a definate 1-2 second lag before the phone wakes up or the app opens. Did have an incident already with the phone not ringing when received a phone call nor did it show a missed call. Reboot and working now, will have keep an eye on that as a potential problem.

To use bearone's favorite line, "My phone has never done that", i.e. had hardware issues with buttons, jack inputs, etc.
I think the X has been a rock solid piece of hardware, dragged down by bloatware and crappy apps, with updates that cause as many problems as they solve.
