Data Options

I was told that if I'm on Wi Fi, and not on Wireless Network, that my downloads do not count on my Data Plan.  I'm not certain that's true.  Does anyone know for certain?

The usage updates so slowly, I can't tell what was used when...

I'm a cheap-**bleep**, so I picked the $15 a month 150MB package.  I'm trying to keep the usage down...

As long as you are connected to a WiFi connection, downloads will not use your data pool.

Please don't take offense, but is that anywhere on the Verizon Site?  I was at home last night, and I see a Data charge on my bill from last night.  I was on Wi Fi, I'm about 100% sure.

Are there maybe apps that will circumvent the Wi Fi, and temporarily turn on the Wireless Data?

On the HTC DROID Incredible, you do have the option to turn off the connection for the data (Cellular) network and turn it on only when you need it.

Options to turn off Data:

1.  Go to Settings > Wireless & Network > Scroll down to Mobile Network and uncheck the box.

2.  Long press the power button to get the shut down menu and select "Mobile Network" to turn off or on.

3.  Long press and open space on your screen > Select HTC Widgets > Scroll to Settings and open the sub-menu > Select Mobile network and a Mobile Network Widget will be put on your screen.  See the Screen shot below.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
